MAID MOVEMENT
Since the making of the film, three states have legalized aid in dying: New York, Illinois and Delaware. There has been a big legislative swing in the last few years and more states are considering MAID bills. Compassion and Choices has a state-by-state tracker of ongoing legislation.
Heather Hogan
Throughout production on Other Side, Heather was getting her masters in social work. She has since begun to work as a therapist in addition to film, death and psychedelic integration work. She is very tired and fulfilled.
Carter Oakley
Carter has begun working on a new project, producing Speaking for Earth with his longtime collaborators Cody Ball and Owen Kibby. It is a Sundance-supported feature documentary about the new era of searching for life in the universe. He is also very tired and fulfilled.
